✨Do you still remember what the All-nighter Milo ✨Do you still remember what the All-nighter Milonga at @thebeatberk in February 2020 was like? No one knew then that it would become a pivotal event... We had just celebrated its 20th anniversary the month before, and the following month COVID changed everything.

With everyon's continued support and willingness to be flexible & adapt, after a few "warm-up" trials, All-nighter Mini 4th edition happened last Saturday, July 30, 2022 – the attendance was almost the same as those pre-COVID times! So was the wonderful energy.✨

Sought-after bandoneonist @heynisolera is also an Sought-after bandoneonist @heynisolera is also an ethnomusicologist. Her lecture "Today's Women in Tango: Carving Out Spaces" has been presented to many different audiences within and outside of the tango circles. The San Francisco tango community had the opportunity to hear it at @thetangodome earlier today.

Using an ethnomusicological approach, this lecture focused on 14 different female tango musicians to provide insight on how today's women in tango are positioning and creating space for themselves in a historically male-dominated genre.

Missed the lecture today? Catch Heyni at La Nuestra Tango Festival in Brooklyn, NY, happening Aug 5-7! @lanuestratango has a mission to transform tango culture through music by women.
