El Valenciano Milonga

The long time favorite Tuesday night milonga, “El V”, has returned!  This cozy restaurant/bar is newly re-opened, now a new chef and Italian cuisine.  The dance floor is in the back. Expect to see and dance with San Francisco’s best dancers.

8:30 – 9:20 Tango Lesson For All Levels
9:30 – 12:30am Tango Bailongo

Admission: $15 (class included), $5 discount for full time college students
Parking:
Limited free parking on street. Best to arrive after dinner time to find parking.
Dress:  Dress to impress
Bar: Full Bar!  21 and over/i.d. required


Switch Tango Tuesdays

455A Valencia Street, between 15th and 16th Streets, San Francisco, CA Map

All are welcome at this class and practilonga. Learn how to lead and follow in a gender neutral environment. During the practilonga, partners change each 2-song set. Music ranges from classic Tango to current music. Shoes you can pivot in are recommended. Great for beginners and fusion dancers. No partner necessary and beginners welcome. Tango at Athletic Playground

Athletic Playground, 4770 San Pablo Ave, Emeryville, CA Map

Join Homer Ladas, Mira Barakat, and friends for a casual and fun night of tango at the Athletic Playground movement center in Emeryville, CA. We are a gender-neutral, shoes optional, mixed-music, safe space event! Classes are usually small in size and you get lots of attention from the teacher(s) + excellent peer-to-peer learning with co-students.

Drop-in prices are expensive but if you buy a class pass or other ‘membership’ the prices can drop significantly (<50%).  For more details see www.athleticplayground.com/getting-started

8:00 – 9:00 pm   Supervised Practice
