This long-running milonga is hosted by Gary Weinberg.  The Monte Cristo club has hardwood floors, a bar and friendly atmosphere. This club is located in the Potrero Hill neighborhood and 18th Street has many delicious restaurants for a bite to eat before the milonga. Great place for beginners to learn Tango (free beginner class) and stay on to experience a real milonga. Intermediate/Advanced class taught by Gary and Lisette, two of SF’s best tango instructors.

Milonga El Abrazo

This is one of the most popular milongas in San Francisco. Top visiting instructors teach and perform at this once a month milonga.  It’s  hosted by the lovely and talented Mayumi and boast a sprung dance floor and a bar. Couches line the dance floor and tables near the bar create and fun and festive atmosphere.

Admission: $25 workshop only/ $30 workshop & milonga/ $10 milonga only

Magdalena Milonga

Tango Atípico Milonga

Tango Atípico is a monthly milonga promoting modern Tango, electronic, and other alternative music. Their goal is to create an environment that fosters creativity in dance and DJing.  St. Gregory’s Church is an amazing venue.
