Somewhere Here Over the Rainbow – Celebrating Pride & Queer Tango in SF

June 17, 2022

We’ve missed you!

Since the pandemic started in March 2020, we’ve taken a long break from posting and used the time for site maintenance instead. As we get into Summer 2022, Tango in SF Bay Area is back. Different, but back.

Some pre-pandemic regular events have felt like they’ve almost resumed to what they used to be – with safety protocols and limited attendance, and there have also been new events appearing. We are returning with a monthly highlight, and the 1st edition is… Celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month and Queer Tango in the SF Bay Area!

Did you know the SF Bay Area queer tango community is the most active and largest queer tango community in the country? Do you know when our very own Abrazo Queer Tango was created and how it all began? We are excited to find this recently published article on Berkeleyside in celebration of Pride!
