Operation Tango = Free Tango

July 25, 2012

I’m sure you all have heard about Antipanico by now. In the odd case that you have not, I’ll tell you it’s an incredibly fun, exciting and well-run Tango festival right here in San Francisco’s Mission district.  Not only is it held in a cool location, but they bring in some of the top Tango dancers in the world. To name a few: Chicho + Juana and Sebastian +  Mariana. This year maestro’s are:  Rodrigo “Joe” Corbata + Lucila Cionci, Donato Juárez + Carolina del Rivero and Fabian Peralta & Josefina Bermudez. Check out the website: www.antipanicosf.com, and you’ll get the whole scoops.

If you hurry… you can still pre-register, but do hurry,  it ends tonight, July 25th. If you miss tonight’s deadline, don’t worry, you will still be able to register at the door.

Antipanico is August 2nd to 5th

But the real reason I’m writing is to let you all know about…

OPERATION TANGO

Saturday, July 28 – 12 noon to 4pm

A one hour class, each hour on the hour

Schedule and list of teachers:
12:00 noon
– Guillermo & Luz

1:00 pm – Christopher & Caroline
2:00 pm – Mayumi & Filand
3:00 pm – Sean Dockery

As part of the kick off to Antipanico, there will be FREE introductory tango classes. Did I mention FREE? This is a great opportunity for those who have always wanted to try Tango, or for even those who have danced for awhile.  One can never get enough beginner classes no matter your level.

Since there is one class every hour and different teachers at each hour, you can either pick the time or instructor that suits you or you can make a day of it and take all four.  I assure you will learn a lot.

Location:  CELLspace,  2050 Bryant St, San Francisco, CA   Map

Open to public.  Pass it on!
