Cecilia Gonzáles & Somer Surgit will be in San Francisco for only a couple days. These two are incredible and not to be missed.
Cecilia Gonzáles technical precision, fluidity of movement and notable capacity of improvisation characterize her dance.
Speaking from personal experience, Cecilia is an excellent teacher in both leading and following. Cecilia investigates the possibilities of movement and expression that tango offers, always in correspondence to the music and in continuous improvisation. She believes that in order to be able to improvise, it is necessary to understand and analyze deeply the structure and the technique, so then we can feel free to relate with ourselves, with our partner, with the space, the music and our memories.
Her complete knowledge and her passion for teaching makes her a very appreciated and requested tango teacher being invited regularly to give workshops in Europe and North America since 1996. She has taught in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
Somer Surgit is recognized as a singular interpretation New Generation Tango, emphasizing individuality, deep connection and genuine expression. He is a wonderful match for the style of Cecilia Gonzales.
Somer Surgit is a uniquely experienced dancer who embodies musicality, elegance and creativity in his dance.
Lightness, grace and fluidity are the most precise words to characterize the dancing style of Somer Surgit. He has taught and performed all around the world: in the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Italy, Germany, Spain and other countries.
